Drug Distribution Case
Successfully convinced federal prosecutors of the anti-trust division in Washington, DC not to seek an indictment against my client in the Southern District of Florida because of the existence of reasonable doubt in the case. The Client faced up to 20 years in prison.

At the sentencing hearing, I successfully convinced the federal judge that a prison sentence would have a devastating impact on the Client’s unique family situation. The Judge sentenced the Client to probation. The Client faced up to 20 years in prison.
Client charged in Broward County with Possession of THC with Intent to Sell or Deliver, Possession of Cannabis with Intent to Sell or Deliver, Possession of Alprazolam, Possession of Oxycodone, Possession of Amphetamine and two Counts of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The Client faced a maximum of 27 years in prison. After filing a Motion to Suppress Physical Evidence and Statements, the Prosecutor broke the case down to a simple Possession of Marijuana with 6 months of probation. The Client early terminated probation after 3 months. The Client was not convicted and the Broward Sheriff’s Office returned a substantial portion of the Client’s seized money after I extensively negotiated with the lawyers from the Broward Sheriff’s Office.

Successfully convinced federal prosecutors not to pursue wire fraud charges against the owner of a money factoring business accused of laundering money for a drug cartel. The Client was facing at least 20 years in prison.
Successfully convinced the Palm Beach County Prosecutors not to pursue patient brokering charges against my client in their high profile Sober Homes Task Force investigation into illegal kickback schemes in the drug rehabilitation industry. The Client faced at least up to 5 years in prison.

Motion to Dismiss granted. Client accused of murdering estranged wife’s boyfriend and attempting to murder his estranged wife. The jury found the client not guilty of attempting to murder his estranged wife. The Court grants a post trial Motion to Dismiss for the murder of the estranged wife’s boyfriend. The Client faced up to life in prison.

Motion to Dismiss granted. Client attacked by girlfriend’s former boyfriend in girlfriend’s home. Former boyfriend ends up in coma. The Court dismissed criminal charges based on Florida’s Stand Your Ground law after a very lengthy motion hearing. The client faced up to 15 years in prison.

After filing a detailed Stand Your Ground Motion, the Broward County State Attorney’s Office reduced the Client's charge from the 2nd Degree felony Aggravated Battery to a 1st Degree Misdemeanor Battery with no conviction, a year of probation and the opportunity to early terminate probation at the six month point. The Client originally faced 15 years in Florida State Prison.
Successfully convinced Miami-Dade County Prosecutors not to file 1st Degree Felony Grand Theft charges against my Client because the totality of the evidence failed to show criminal intent. The Client faced up to 30 years in prison.
Reckless Driving Causing Serious Bodily Injury
Successfully convinced the Palm Beach County Prosecutor to offer the Client a diversionary program because the Client’s unique life circumstances justified giving the Client a second chance. The Client faced up to 5 years in prison.
Driving Under the Influence
Successfully convinced the Palm Beach County Prosecutor to offer multiple Clients a Reckless Driving charge because the evidence of DUI was questionable in all of these cases.
